The Pleasure Of Your Company

Baltimore's premier social stationer, The Pleasure Of Your Company, downsized into a new space so they could focus more on their booming custom projects business. 8 Boxwood Lane Creative evaluated all of their furnishings and fixtures from the old space and determined which ones would work best in the new location. We introduced a new floorplan allowing TPYOC to successfully showcase major product investments and provide them with the work and client meeting spaces they needed.

Maryland Presbyterian Church

The church hired 8 Boxwood Lane Creative to help them update an interior that had not been touched in 30 years. The staff had tried to do it in house and had hit a number of roadblocks while trying to figure it out amongst themselves.

New introductions for their sanctuary and outer gathering spaces included carpeting, pew upholstery fabric, and paint. Walls were transformed into a clean pale palette of grey and molding and trim that had previously been in a contrasting color was now the same color as the walls. A deeper grey was introduced to add depth in the "choir loft" and provide a hint of contrast to the stained glass window that was the main focal point to the sanctuary. Thick, soft, high-performing complimentary carpet helped bring a new warmth and level of needed comfort and serenity to the space.

Historic Farmhouse Renovation 'Afton Waters'    Circa 1785

This 4,500 square foot period summer home located in northern Baltimore County horse country was in need of some serious attention when the owners purchased it in 2016. 8 Boxwood Lane Creative hired Smithouse - a local design-build firm- to help bring this beautiful old structure from the late 1700's back to life.

Updates included a new roof, insulating the entire house, reinforcing load bearing beams in the basement, introducing HVAC to the second and third floors, siding the exterior, painting the entire exterior and interior of the house, gutting the kitchen, adding a small pantry addition, updating two additional bathrooms, replacing all the light fixtures both inside and out, replacing some windows and tweaking small items throughout.

The original bones of the house remained in place and tasteful updates were introduced to bring the house up to "user-friendly" status as well as meet lifestyle needs of today.

Local partners included: Smithouse, Jeffress Stone, Sheldon & Sons, McCormick Paints, Walbrook Lumber, Hunt Valley Tile & Stone and PJ & Associates.
